Emailing, printing, and downloading in Engineering Village

Several pages in Engineering Village provide options to email, print, download, Save to Google Drive, or Download to Dropbox EV content. Here are some examples:


To email EV content

Email content to yourself or others.

Note All fields except Message on this form are required.
  1. Select the document record(s) you want to email.
  2. Click Email. The Email Records form opens.
  3. From Record output, select one of the following outputs:
  4. In the To field, enter the email address of the recipient(s). Place a comma between email addresses when entering multiple ones in this field.
  5. Enter Your Email address.
  6. Enter a Subject.
  7. Enter a Messagefor your email.
  8. Click Send Email. An information message opens confirming that your email was successfully sent.

To print EV content

  1. Select document record(s) you want to print.
  2. Click Print. Your selected record(s) appear in a print-preview window.

  3. From Record output, select one of the following outputs:
  4. Click Print in the upper right corner.

To download EV content

  1. Click Download. The Download Selected Records window opens.
  2. From Record output, select one of the following outputs:
  3. From Download Records, select the download format for the record.
  4. Click Download. The record will download in the selected output format.

To save EV content to Google Drive

Save to Google Drive supports the following web browsers:

Note

If you are not logged into your Google account, you will be prompted to log in once you click Save to Google Drive icon.

  1. Select the document record(s) you want to download.
  2. Click Download. The Download Selected Records window opens.
  3. From Record output, select one of the available outputs.
  4. From Download Records, select the download format for the record.
    NoteRefworks direct import is not available for use with Save to Google Drive.
  5. Click Save to Google Drive icon. The record will save to Google Drive.

If you have difficulty using Save to Google Drive icon, you may have to consult your browser settings in order to use this feature.

For IE9, complete the following:

  1. Open Internet Options from either the Control Panel or the Internet Explorer 9 Tools menu.
  2. Open the Security tab.
  3. Click on the Custom Level button.
  4. Scroll to the Miscellaneous section, and enable Access data sources across domains.

To save EV content to Dropbox

Save to Dropbox supports the following web browsers:

Notes

  • If you are not logged into your Dropbox account, you will be prompted to log in once you click Download to Dropbox buttons.
  • Save to Dropbox may not work in all browsers, try using Internet Explorer 10, Safari 6 on Mac OS, and recent versions of Firefox and Chrome.
  1. Select the document record(s) you want to download.
  2. Click Download. The Download Selected Records window opens.
  3. From Record output, select one of the available outputs.
  4. From Download Records, select the download format for the record.
    NoteRefworks direct import is not available for use with Save to Dropbox.
  5. Click Download to Dropbox buttons. The Download to Dropbox dialogue box opens.
  6. From the Download to Dropbox dialogue, click Save. The record will save to Dropbox.
